About P1 and Our API
The P1 Platform is focused on the future, unconstrained by dated systems and processes used by many legacy investment platforms. We believe data should move freely and securely between different systems, and that is why we have developed our API. It is designed to allow the data we hold to be available to the other systems and applications our customers use.
The P1 Platform API is a REST API. This is a type of web API which uses standardised HTTP methods to interact with resources in a server, returning data in a format like JSON or XML. Resources are identified using URLs, and interactions with those resources are stateless, meaning that each request to the server contains all the information necessary for the server to process the request.
